SummerFest 2018 is coming to Downtown Rawlins July 13 & 14. This year SummerFest will include the favorites outhouse races, eating contests, free activities, food vendors, shopping and more! FULL SCHEDULE COMING SOON!
NEW! Block Party
On Friday, July 13 at 6:00, SummerFest will kick-off with a “Block Party” featuring live music by Whiskey’s Alibi starting at 7. Food trucks, downtown business vendors and the jumpy house for the kids will be available.
This event will take place at approx. 12:30 p.m., July 14th. With the help from Rawlins Fire Department, Ping Pong balls are dropped into a crowd for an opportunity to receive coupons to Downtown businesses and Chamber Member Businesses. There is also a toy drop for the kids. Sponsored by Rawlins Chamber of Commerce and Rawlins DDA/Main Street.
NEW! KIDPRENEUR at SummerFest
NEW this year! A pop-up market featuring young entrepreneurs, makers and innovators. Kids 15 and younger will be able to showcase their DIY projects.

Must bring your own table. Everything has to be made by kids. Parents can only serve as assistants.

A perfect way to get your club, group, team or friends out there.
$25 Dollar entrance fee (funds go to the further operations of the Rawlins Chamber of Commerce)
Teams are limited to 5 people or less, 1 rider and 4 pushers
One person has to ride inside at all times (but it does not have to be the same person the whole time)
Outhouses must be pushed or pulled by human power only
Outhouse teams must remain in control of their outhouse at all times.
Judges determination will stand for any reason- starting, obstacle qualification etc.
NO team will interfere or cross into another team’s race path- if such occurrence is to happen- offending team will
face disqualification for that heat (depending on judge’s determination).
Each outhouse needs to be equipped with a minimum of 8 standard size toilet paper rolls (they can be wrapped)
A copy of planned obstacles and rules and regulations will be provided to each team.
Above all- HAVE FUN!
Although we all love a good competition, remember this is a public event and is meant to be
fun, any un-sportsman like conduct will result in disqualification (depending on Judge’s
determination). All of our judges are volunteers, please address them with respect.
